MY FAVORITE BROOCHES

I already shared my love for pinback buttons, so I definitely want to give you a look at a few of my favorites from the many brooches I've come to have.

So, clearly I like simplicity and bows. And clearly I liked American Girl dolls when I was a child, when I received that amazing pink sunglasses pin in the mail with a doll. Here'a a little more about two of them:

This fox. I got this pin in Paris when I traveled with my dad this past May. I saw the pin in the window display of a tiny vintage clothing store. We squeezed inside and spoke with a friendly old lady who tried to tell us about the history of the pin as best as her English would allow. It was such a memorable experience, and I couldn't love the simply perfect little fox any more than I do.

My mom gave me this pin a few years ago, and I love the simple sparkle it has. She has a few pieces of horseshoe inspired jewelry, so this pin always makes me think of her. It looks great on a simple sweater.
