I was six. Santa came to our school to take pictures with us. I wanted to get my picture taken because it was what everyone else was going to do. My dad said he would only let me if I wore my Hanukkah dress, complete with big, blue bow and golden gelt buttons. At the time I was like, I'm gonna die. And I remember Santa's look of confusion. As I climbed into his lap he said, "Oh, what a nice dress," while thinking Who the hell would do this to their child? My dad would. And I'm glad he did. I love this picture, and I realize now why he did it. Happy Holidays from Well It's Okay. See you next year.
