I LOVE EPHEMERA

Ephemera is absolutely one of my favorite things to search for at antique malls, estate sales, and other thrifty places. I love everything about it - the colors, letters, the look of the old paper. To me these things give the feel of a past time more than any other antique you can find. They're things that people used everyday for mail, learning, playing, reading, entertainment, information, everything.

One of my favorite types of ephemera is old school things, like these flash cards and word charts. I love the bold simplicity of them. I'm way into typography anyway, so these definitely catch my eye. The fox box card is definitely one of my favorite things I've ever found. I got it in Austin last week. Old 3D glasses also steal my heart. I only have these two, but it's definitely something I have an eye out for. I'd love to have a bigger collection.

Do any of you collection old papers and ephemera? A great way to get some great stuff without scouring antique stores high and low is to search for ephemera packs on etsy. I've gotten some of my favorite pieces from packs, especially this one from Present and Correct. I feel like my obsession started with buying old photographs when I was really into photography in high school. I have to dig up my collection of those to share with you. I'm so excited to decorate the beautiful white walls in our new apartment with some of my favorite ephemera, and I can't wait to show you.
