I really love stickers. If I have something with a smooth, empty surface in need of a little flair, it's going to get stickered (notebooks, my laptop, bookshelves, our little AC unit...). I always loved them when I was a child, but it really escalated when my mom gave me a pack of weird, Japanese stickers (like the ones below) when I was 12 or so. They were odd, cute, and frequently featured one my favorite things - anthropomorphism. I had no chance of stopping there.
I also really like to collect stickers from artists/designers I really love. Here are a few of my favorites of those. These are from Lazy Oaf, Jeremyville, and Matt Cipov.Do you like stickers? Do you use them or keep them on the sheet? I have some that I'm probably never going to use because they're my favorites, and I don't want to put them on something unworthy. This is serious stuff.
I've been collecting stickers too!!! I got them from Korea :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I am the same! I love them and sometimes can't bear to actually use them either.
ReplyDeleteI actually kept the last ones I got next to my bed for a week or 2 so I could look at them haha. They were just so cute!
I love those green and dim-sum Japanese ones! And the owl artist sticker is stunning as well<3

That's a pretty awesome collection - love these posts!
ReplyDeleteI used to have lots when I was younger, my favourite ones were japanese (i think) called Afro Ken - it was a dog and each one had a different flamboyant hairstyle! My sister's the one with all the stickers now though :)
Oh I miss collecting stickers, I had a nice collection when I was about 9 or 10. I still love them!!!

Ah, I love all your stickers! I have a pile of stickers also, and I'm always putting them on any surface that needs it. Have you ever heard of stickerbomb? http://www.amazon.com/Sticker-Bomb-Studio-Rarekwai/dp/1856695670
ReplyDeleteThey have two volumes so far, pages upon pages of awesome stickers!
So happy you still have a sticker collection. Mine is really small now and mostly stuff from Sanrio. I didn't know there were so many cool ones out there.
