Being in the house I grew up in while the summer feelings began to fill the house was really something I'm glad I had before I move up north. It's really an indescribable change that takes place when the house begins to have feelings of summer instead of what came before. It made me feel like a child again sometimes, but mostly it made me feel at home. Here are a few summery snapshots from my summery weeks at home.
I'm driving up to New York with completely my amazing friend Elizabeth. It's the longest distance I've ever driven, and while I'm a little anxious, I am so so excited to take this trip with her, see all the places we pass through, and explore the new town together for a little bit. Crazy road trip pictures, maybe? Probably. Lots and lots of talk about The Hunger Games? Most 100% definitely. I know I am like the last person in the world to read these books because I thought I wouldn't care about them at all. I was wrong. I read all three over our trip. I do care. I care a lot. Lucky for me Elizabeth does, too.
I'm planning on some updates along the way, and I've already begun organizing my Paris, Barcelona, and Madrid pictures into posts! Can't wait to share.
Sounds like a fun trip (and welcome to the Hunger Games fan club. We've been waiting for you*)
ReplyDelete*and by "you", I really mean "anyone at all, ever" because I have yet to hear anyone say "Well I finally got around to reading the series and it was okay, I guess"

Seeing those chips reminds me: Saratoga Springs is the birthplace of the potato chip! Hope you're having fun and settling in :)
