Our flight arrived in Paris this morning at around 8. We couldn't check into our room until later in the afternoon. So we dropped off our luggage and wandered. We've stayed in the same hotel every time we've visited this city, so getting from the airport to the hotel by metro isn't so stessful now. And while I am in no way any sort of expert, there's something really neat about knowing at least a few streets or general bearings in a foreign city.
We've also eaten at the same little cafe each time, right up the street from the hotel. The croissants are warm, the orange juice is probably some of the best I've had, and I love the classic Parisian-ness of it all. I mean, look at those stools.
I took so many pictures just in our first day. I'm getting some ideas of how I want to organize them into posts. Can't wait to share.
