1// 2// plastic "milk glass" bowl from thrift store
3// 4// glove hangers from thrift store
The past two weeks have not been the best thrifting weeks. The estate sales were particularly bleak and overpriced and one included police officers busting up in the house threatening to tow all the cars parked in the street...so not worth it. We went to the Portsmouth Flea two weekends ago, which is always fun to look around. I didn't find anything, but Douglas bought a vintage Navy belt buckle that has his rate on it, so he can actually wear it. I would take a picture because it's really neat...but he's on the ship...wearing it. I love that he found something. Sometime last week I took a drive out to my favorite thrift stores for a work break and found these two little gems, one thing that is useful and one thing that is completely useless.
I loved this little plastic bowl because it looks like milk glass, which is awesome, but it is plastic. And I have been looking for something along these lines to display bow ties for shows, but something glass has a 100% chance of getting broken during a show. So this is perfect.
And these glove hangers or stretchers or drying racks...I tried to find out something about them online but most of the ones I found were plastic. These are fairly useless to me because I have no gloves I need to display or stretch. I am still trying to think of some use for them, maybe hanging something off of them, but I can't. Any ideas?
