shirt: Maison Scotch // jeans: American Eagle // moccasins: Minnetonka // clutch: new Anykind design
Ever since I first saw this wall when we moved here, I wanted to take pictures there. We finally got around to it. It's the front wall of this little, old liquor store on the other side of town. I love everything about it - all the different colors on the faded white, the different styles of lettering. Since we're leaving Saratoga soon, we're trying to pack in as many things as we can. Having photos standing against this wall is definitely something I wanted to have to remember our time here.

WHAT I WORE TO THE RACE COURSE
dress : Target // belt : thrifted // shoes : UO // purse : DKNY from my mom // glasses : Betsey Johnson from TJ Maxx
We're not super fancies betting all our money away at the race track, but it was still fun to look nice and spend the day there. Plus it was hot, so a dress was clearly the best choice. And these Betsey Johnson sunglasses will forever be my favorite TJ Maxx find.

WHAT I WORE AT THE PARK
shirt: Lazy Oaf // jeans: Gap // shoes: UO // sunglasses: Betsey Johnson from TJ Maxx // handmade totebag
I don't have hundreds of vintage (or new) dresses, I only wear jewelry occasionally, and I rarely (never) wear any shoes but flats. That being said, I really do enjoy clothing and personal style even if I tend to dress on the simpler side. I choose things that I like and that stand out to me, and I love incorporating hand made pieces into outfits.I embroidered and sewed this tote bag when I was in high school. And it's been one of my favorite things I've made ever since. This t-shirt is one of my favorites, too. I've been in love with Lazy Oaf and their graphic clothing for a long time. When I visited London with my dad a few years ago I was so excited to visit their actual store and picked up this shirt. And if you had told me in high school that my favorite pair of pants when I was 22 would be pink...I wouldn't have believed it. I was not big on pink in high school.
When we leave Saratoga, one of the things I will miss the most is walking to this park from our apartment. It's such a nice thing to do together in the evening. My favorite part of the park is the higher level that has benches and spots that look out over the entire park and a little bit of downtown.
Hope everyone has had a nice start to their week so far. It's been hard for me to get to work after Douglas's four day weekend and all the fun stuff we did. And maybe also because I'm really sunburned from Six Flags...

LITTLE HEARTS DRESS + LOTS OF DUCKS
dress: H&M / shoes + jacket: UO / purse: vintage Coach from my mom / necklace: Ornamental Things
I also visited the mall here the other day solely because there is an H&M. I went because I needed to get out after hours of sewing. I had no intention of buying anything, only the intention of trying on a million things I would never buy or wear. Then I got to this dress. I saw it on the rack, and was like, okay. I've always really loved hearts. And light pink and black together. And dresses with buttons down the front. And it ended up fitting extremely well. Sold. Perfect hanging-out-with-ducks-and-Douglas in the park dress, don't you think?

OUTFITS FOR AUSTIN
I love traveling - the airport, flying, having only what I need with me, and of course going somewhere fun and new to me. But I really suck at packing, and I hate it. We're flying out to Austin, TX tomorrow to visit my brother and his girliefriend/my bestie. While planning my outfits for the trip and packing, it made the process more bearable to snap a few photos.
dress: Target, shirt: UO, shoes: UO, silk scarf: vintage
dotted shirt: Forever 21, cami: Target, skirt: Target, shoes: UO
tee: Best Coast/Wavves concert, shorts: UO, scarf: thrifted, shoes: UO
dress: Target, shirt: America Apparel, shoes: Vans, belt: thrifted
I'm off to actually put all this into a suitcase now. And of course, my camera is coming along as well. Can't wait to show you pictures from the trip. Any Austin-dwellers out there? Any tips about places to hit up?

A WINDY BEACH DAY OUTFIT
We had out last day at the beach on Monday. It was definitely too chilly to swim, but we walked around and waded. It was beautiful nonetheless, and a much needed break from packing. Before we lived here I had never been able to just drive to the beach when I wanted. I could definitely stand living somewhere like again sometime in my life.

WHAT I WORE TO CUPCAKE
We spent the afternoon downtown at Cupcake and wandering around seeing what was going on with Charleston Fashion Week. Tents is what's going on. We went with our completely awesome friends and their cute kids. They're definitely one of the things we're going to miss the most about living here.
I've been loving cream and black lately, and I always love these polka dot mary janes I picked up a long time ago. The simple cotton mary janes you can get for not that much money are one of my favorite shoes for spring and summer.
I can't believe it's Thursday. This week has gone by so fast! And I can't believe this is our last weekend in Charleston. I know it's going to be cool up where we're going, But it's hard leaving such an amazing home. But we built this home here, so Douglas and I can do it anywhere.

MY BRET SHIRT
So "Bret shirt" is in reference to...Flight of Conchords! Bret, one of the main characters, is known for wearing shirts with some sort of faded wildlife graphic on it, you know the ones. Tigers, zebras, deer. I got this one at the Goodwill in Athens a long time ago. I love the whole scene, and the mountain is so good.
This is what I wore when Douglas and I walked around downtown this weekend. It's one of my favorite things to do. I love looking at all the buildings and details on the older part of King Street. That's where I took the last shot of the awesome mosaic work in front of a store. I always see something new.
