AROUND ATHENS

It's always hard for me to get used to living somewhere different from where I've been, but I sure can ease back into life in Athens rather quickly. I love seeing my friends, and I'm excited to see some people I haven't had the chance to visit yet. This morning I went downtown with my mom and got my hair cut (so overdue). I always love walking around down there, and we had lunch at The Grill, something I've missed doing with her.

Also, Dunkaroos are still something you can buy. This I did not know until I saw them at my friend Elizabeth's. What a good thing to know.

OUR TIME IN CHARLESTON

our first apartment together  starting my own small business and blog beach days strawberries and lemonade finding nutella & go packs going to the movies space carpet at the movies cold weather but not for long having our friends and family come visit Tasty Express (Douglas's favorite) hanging out with Lauren, Rosie, and Andrea sparklers on New Year's making things everyday figuring out what I wanted my business to become estate sales all around town beach plants the Boulevard Diner sign my first artist market bridges everywhere downtown days • feeling at home

I can't believe it's already Monday. The movers are coming Thursday morning, then within matter of hours we'll be out of Charleston. Until then, I have a lot of packing and organizing to do so it's not a disaster when I get to my parent's house.

We spent some time at the beach earlier today, and I thought about how different I felt when we were at that same beach eight months ago, when I first moved here after we got married. And I thought about everything in between. We've had an amazing, exciting time here. I just can't wait to get up to New York with Douglas and see what happens there. Stick with me here, in the next few weeks. It's gonna be busy and probably a little crazy, but I think it's gonna be good.

A PEEK INTO OUR DAY

Being a part of the Lowcountry Artist Market today was really awesome. I was so lucky to have Douglas there. He was so good at solving all my non-wind proof display issues on this windy day. We met a lot of really cool people, ate the best popsicles ever, had so much fun together, and got my name out there a little. It was a little or a lot rainy, but it was great. Pictures not from a phone on Monday. See you.

HAPPY VALENTINES

It was a nice, cozy, cloudy day here - and it was a perfect Valentine's Day, too. Douglas and I watched The Wedding Singer (one of my favorites) this afternoon, which was extra fun because he had never seen it before Then we had dinner at Fuel Charleston downtown. It had been our list of places to go for a long time, and I'm so glad we finally went. We had ho cakes, which are crispy corn fritters, for an appetizer, and I had a house-made black bean burger with fries. It was all extremely delicious. Now we're enjoying our night at home, and it's starting to rain. I hope everyone else has had an amazingly lovely day.
